Last week, I was back in the studio to record my third column for RTÉ Radio 1’s Countrywide programme. The theme? Holidaying with a farmer, which, as many of you will know from experience, is never quite plain sailing.
From anecdotes of underpants to admissions of blissful beachside lunches cut short by shearing, I pull no punches. And as if airing our dirty laundry on national radio wasn’t punishment enough for the poor man, a slip of the tongue during the intro had Jack and I married, too! Despite my protestations, he was convinced that I’d put presenter Damien O’Reilly up to it.
I didn’t, just F.Y.I.
Interestingly enough, I haven’t seen much of Jack in the days since the broadcast . . . He’s “at the silage,” he tells me, but I wonder if his absence isn’t a pay-back of sorts!
Anyway, if you’d like to check it out, simply click the player below.
I hope you enjoy it 🙂
